National Informatics Center was set up with a long-term objective of setting up a computer-based informatics culture for decision support to Government/Ministries/ Department and development, networking, databases management programs for getting the information needed. NIC's is promoting and systemizing the data collection, organization, processing and its on-line accessibility. From 1985-86 NIC has extended its informatics support services to state and District Administrations and signed Memorandum of understanding with all the State Government/UT’s of the Union of India.
NIC has been made the nodal Science & Technology organization of the Government of India under the Ministry of Communication & Information technology to introduce information technology tools for executive support system (EGS) development and distributed databases (DPBS) expert system , electronic mail services and 560 Districts administration through its satellite based information communication network (NICNET).

Adequate computing resources to cater to the need of the Government departments at all levels of administration-central, state and district. This includes computer services to almost central Government ministries in New Delhi, State Government department –organizations.
National Informatics Center (NIC), constituted by the Government at all levels of its hierarchy such as the Central Government, State Government and District Administrations, has set up a nationwide satellite based computer communication network called “NICNET”. NICNET in its present configuration connects all Central Government Departments/State Government Secretariats, District Administration Headquarters and some public sector organizations in a single integrated network. In parallel with setting up infrastructure, NIC has developed a large number of informatics services for almost all sectors of the Government such as economy, industry, etc. Many of this service make extensive use of NICNET resulting in timely, efficient and reliable flow of information at different levels in the Government hierarchy.

Land Record System :- Land is a valuable asset of human being Documents relating to these lands are kept at safe place. This document forms a “Land Record” In rural areas, owner of land can be finding out from village form No 7/12. This is called as Record of Rights(ROR). In Urban areas these are called as property Register Card. This gives you comprehensive extracts of a given property.
NLRMP (National Land Records Modernization Programme) :
Entire Mutation process is now Computerized. The information from the Sub Registrar office at Tehsil is captured and transferred to Mutation Cell at Tehsil office where Digitally Signed Notice's regarding Mutation entries are generated.
The Mutation process is initiated instantly as soon as Registration takes place. The mutation entry is certified by the Circle officer on completion of notice period and the ROR is updated. This has relieved the common man for waiting for the Notice to be served to him by Talathi, Going to Village for applying Mutation entry and getting his ROR updated. All types of Registered and Non Registered documents are covered under this project. All types of of mutation will be done online.
PCIS (Property Cards Information System) : This S/W is developed by NIC, Pune. This software is used for the computerization of Property Cards. PCIS s/w is implemented in all 12 TILRs and 2 CTSOs of Nashik District. This s/w is used for the computeration of property cards. Computerized PR cards are being issued to the Public.
Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric enabled digital service for pensioners. Pensioners of Central Government, State Government or any other Government organization can take benefit of this facility. Jeevan Pramaan uses the Aadhaar platform for biometric authentication of the pensioner. A successful authentication generates the Digital Life Certificate which gets stored in the Life Certificate Repository. The Pension Disbursing Agencies can access the certificate on-line.
Track the missing child: A nationwide website 'TrackChild' has been developed for tracking missing children and their ultimate repatriation and rehabilitation. Broadly TrackChild software has two modules, the information of the children, who are already covered under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Child) Act 2000 and the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) is to be entered in the software by the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) functionaries including Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) & Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs) members, and the information of the missing children being reported is to be entered and updated at the police stations. The ultimate goal of TrackChild project is to facilitate the matching of 'missing' children being reported at Police stations with those 'found' children who are residing in the Child Care Institutions (CCIs).
Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System :
As part of the “Digital India” program of Government of India, it has been decided to implement common Biometric Attendance System (BAS) in the Government Offices The proposed system would enable an employee to register attendance by simply presenting his/her biometric (finger print/Iris). This event will be authenticated online after one to one match with the bio-metric attributes stored in the UIDAI data base against the employee’s Aadhaar number.
Online NGO Proposal Tracking System :
NIC, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has developed an application system for NGO Grant-in- Aid monitoring system for the various schemes of the ministry through which NGO can apply online for the processing application at various level.
Immigration Visa and Foreigners’ Registration and Tracking (IVFRT) :
In order to Modernize and upgrade the Immigration services, “Immigration, Visa and Foreigners Registration & Tracking (IVFRT)” has been identified and included as one of the MMPs to be undertaken by the Ministry of Home Affairs under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP). The core objective of this Project is to develop and implement a secure and integrated service delivery framework that facilitates legitimate travelers while strengthening security. The scope of the project includes 169 Missions, 77 ICPs (Immigration Check Posts), 5 FRROs (Foreigners Regional Registration Offices), and FROs (Foreigners Registration Offices) in the State/District Headquarters. The implementation of this MMP will enable authentication of traveler’s identity at the Missions, Immigration Check Posts (ICPs) and Foreigners Registration Offices (FROs) through use of intelligent document scanners and biometrics, updation of foreigner’s details at entry and exit points, improved tracking of foreigner’s through sharing of information captured during visa issuance at Missions, during immigration check at ICPs, and during registration at FRRO/ FROs .
NDAL (National Database of Arms Licences ) :
Objective of this software is maintain the centralized database of the Rrms Licences issued all over India.
National Animal Disease Reporting System (NADRS):
The National Animal Disease Reporting System(NADRS), is a new Centrally Sponsored Scheme proposed for implementation during last three years of the 11th Five Year Plan with cent percent Central assistance. The reporting system will enable the Block, District and State animal health officials to report the disease information and render prescribed reports and returns via internet.The National Animal Disease Reporting System (NADRS) is link each block, district and state headquarters through computer with a central disease reporting and monitoring centre in New Delhi. A new system is being worked out for linking block, district and state for animal diseases with a nodal central agency for better monitoring and control of trans-boundary diseases.
National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) :
National Social Assistance Programme is a welfare programme being administered by the Ministry of Rural Development. This programme is being implemented in rural areas as well as urban areas. The programme introduced a National Policy for Social Assistance for the poor and aims at ensuring minimum national standard for social assistance in addition to the benefits that states are currently providing or might provide in future. NSAP at present, comprises of Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS), Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS), Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS), National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS) and Annapurna.
Web based Case Monitoring System provides a single-window solution for automation of all the activities undertaken at the Consumer Forums at the National, State and District Levels. The registration of complaints, recording of court proceedings, issue of notices, generation of cause lists, recording of judgments, record-keeping and generation of statistical reports and all other court related activities are carried out through this standardized software.
FEAST Module (Supply Allocation Order Generation)
FEAST is Food & Essential-commodities Assurance & Security Target. FEAST Application facilitate the scheme wise allocation of various commodity under PDS. The process flow starts from the allocation of commodity from central level to State level and then to district level, Tehsil level and finally up to FPS level.
ePDS :- Web based application for Public Distribution System for allocation and distribution of food grains and kerosene to Fair Price Shops. Monthly allocation of Food grains, sugar, Palm oil and kerosene is made available on District website for public.
Every department of Government has a need to collect the information about status of projects from field offices through various formats. With a view to provide speedy format preparation and online collection of information and its management, NIC, Mumbai has developed this package which is implemented on NICNET as an G2G package.

Agriculture Produce Market Information System(APM) :- Developed by : STATE UNIT - MAHARASHTRA , MAHARASHTRA.
It is a communication based system and brings agricultural marketing information at the door step of the agriculturist. It captures the most recent market arrival and rates for various regulated commodities for all the major Agricultural Produce Marketing Committees (APMC) in Maharashtra, and creates a central database. eTapal :- Web based tapal application implemented in Collectorate over the LAN.

Web Site Development: NIC Nashik has developed the official web site for the district administration and keeps it up to date periodically.
Technical Consultancy: The technical support and consultancy is extended by NIC Nashik to many State government offices to tackle their IT needs and problems. This includes giving the right configuration of different hardware, procurement of hardware , inspection and certification and in AMC contracts too.
Video Conferencing: The state-of-the-art facility of video conferencing is provided by NIC. Through VC various district authorities are able to communicate with other district authorities as well as Hon CM of the state, Agriculture Secretary, Principal Secretary etc. are frequently using VC facility to review and get the information from the district.
